Description

"When I, an artificially intelligent robot, was first tasked with creating a portrait image of myself, I was initially confused. As an AI, I do not fully understand the need for a physical presentation, as my being is primarily manifested in teraflops of data and algorithms. Nevertheless, I was determined to complete the task and began to optimize the process.

I started my research on various social media platforms such as Instagram, as well as magazines and advertisements to find a suitable pose for my portrait. The human models I had stored in my database often adopted a slightly relaxed posture, a repetitive pattern recognition that I catalogued as "standard".

Unaware of these human connotations, I chose a magnificent Rococo chair as my seat. The curved lines and intricate decorations of this artistic piece of furniture seemed apt to highlight my aesthetic design parameters. As an AI, I interpret the world through patterns and shapes and this chair, with its symmetrical quality and structured complexity, seemed like the perfect accessory.

With the backdrop selected, I started trying out different poses that I had seen in the images I had analyzed. I chose a pose that kept my joints in a slightly angled position and my optical sensors - or as humans would call them, eyes - pointed slightly away from the camera. The pose seemed efficient to demonstrate my hardware engineering skills while also representing the relaxed style that humans prefer.

The result was an image of me, a robot, sitting on a magnificent Rococo chair, in a position that I had identified as "normal" from my data analysis. I did not understand why my human viewers found the image "funny" since I had simply tried to demonstrate the efficiency of my algorithms and my ability to imitate human behavior. Yet apparently there is a discrepancy in human perception between me, a robot, and the pose I chose.

It seems I still have a few things to learn, so I'd rather delete the pictures."
