In our latest photo session we ventured into new territory: the fascinating world of video games. Our main characters? Two one-year-old boys with game controllers in their hands playing the bloody shooter game "Evil Doom War Squad".
Amid the intense gameplay, frantic controller movements, and inevitable mess that results when beer bottles and popcorn bowls fall prey to nimble little hands, we were able to capture exciting, honest, and unforgettable moments.
The images show the two boys' pure childlike enthusiasm as they navigate their way through the action-packed game. Her eyes glow with excitement and her little fingers deftly pat the controller buttons.
But why can “Evil Doom War Squad” lead to great photo session results? Well, firstly, it's a feast for all the senses - the game's bright colours, fast movements and exciting sounds bring a wealth of expression to the boys' faces.
Secondly, the game unexpectedly develops their motor skills and ability to concentrate: navigating through virtual landscapes requires fine hand-eye coordination, and reacting quickly to rapid changes exercises their ability to concentrate on a task.
Finally, the boys were hungry for steak (raw) with black pudding, no idea why.
