About us

Welcome to the Last Selfie Collection , a unique photo gallery composed of the last gasp of digital expression of personality - the last selfie.

As the founder of this collection, I had a rather unusual approach to these images. In my previous job as a coroner, I often had access to the cell phones of the deceased. While this process may seem ethically questionable and legally borderline, the aim of this collection is not voyeurism, but rather to convey a profound understanding of moments marked by both danger and overconfidence.

Our collection only contains images of influencers who have made their lives public, often in extreme situations. The result is a unique range of images that offer fascinating, if tragic, insights into these characters' final moments.

However, the aim of the Last Selfie Collection is not only to preserve these special moments, but also indirectly to point out the dangers associated with excessive risk-taking behavior and the constant pressure to present oneself on social media. Perhaps this collection represents a wake-up call, a conscious approach to the fragile balance between self-dramatization, bravado and danger.

Additionally, the Collection also has scholarly value: For sociologists, psychologists, and other researchers, it can serve as a primary source for studying the dynamics of social media, fame, and risk-taking behavior. It is also used by the Darwin Award jury as a valuable decision-making aid.

The Last Selfie Collection is not just a gallery, but also a memorial. She shows the dark side of digital self-presentation and reminds us all that behind the perfect image we present on social media there is always a real person with all their fallibilities and vulnerabilities.

I invite you to take a look at this unique collection and reflect on the stories it tells. Let us work together to ensure that the experiences and lessons learned from these images serve to raise awareness of the risks of digital overconfidence and potentially prevent future tragedies.
